The world's best onion pie

Every time my husband's mother comes to us, I very much hope that she will cook this onion pie - the most delicious onion pie in the world! The main thing is to calculate your strength and not eat half the cake at a time (it turns out to be the size of a baking sheet ðŸ˜¬).
For the dough instead of wheat flour in this recipe goes wholegrain half meal flour. You can also take oatmeal and a bit of gluten-free baking mix (we buy Garnets). This is not a vegan pie at all - among the ingredients are cheese, eggs and butter. And this is the case when, after a meal, you have to unzip the top button on your jeans. But this cake is so loved in our family that I could not help but share the recipe.
For the test:
  • 180 grams of butter,
  • 100 ml of water
  • 2 cups wholegrain half-wheat flour
Filling:
  • 500 g onions,
  • 200 g Suluguni
  • 200 g of hard cheese (hard goat cheese,)
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g sour cream
Cut the onion into small straws and simmer until the onions are translucent. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. In a separate bowl, mix two eggs with sour cream.
Melt the butter and mix the ingredients well for the dough. Roll out the dough in a thin layer on a greased baking sheet. First, lay a layer of onion, the second layer - grated cheese, and top with a mixture of eggs and sour cream.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C until the cake is browned - about 25 minutes.
